Title: Walk of Fame
MPAA Rating: Unrated
Director: Jesse Thomas
Starring: Scott Eastwood, Malcolm McDowell, Laura Ashley Samuels
Runtime: 1 hr 33 mins

What It Is: When call center worker Drew (Eastwood) tires of his job he seeks to do something different. At the same time, former flight attendant Nikki (Laura Ashley Samuels) has just been let go due to some photos being released that may or may not be real. Either way, both of them end up in the acting class of illustrious, and equally insane teacher Evan Polus (McDowell) and his merry band of weirdos.

What We Think: This is a really bad film. It feels cheap, looks cheap and offers nothing to its audience. When we look at the acting most of it leaves a ton to be desired. Laura Ashley Samuels doesn’t leave a lot for us to digest. She plays it safe and some of that may come from Thomas’ direction. Overall I think the main problem, as it is with a lot of bad movies, is the script. Most of the dialogue is cringeworthy. Even Malcolm McDowell can’t inject his considerable gravitas into this thing to give it enough life to sustain anyone’s interest.

Our Grade: D-, It’s really bad and I cannot recommend this film to our audience. Unless for some reason you’re a mega fan of anyone listed above and just HAVE to watch everything they’re in. This is an indie film that totally gives us the wrong impression of what that segment of cinema is about and can be. I look forward to seeing whatever else I can next to wash the stench of this film out of my eyes. Scott Eastwood has had a bad run of luck, he seems talented enough, perhaps he needs a new agent or something. Maybe he’s a bad decision-maker, hard to tell.
