What It Is: Anti-Matter follows Ana, who after a scientific experiment that involved going thru a wormhole, finds herself unable to have new memories. The story follows her and her journey to find out what happened and who or what is behind the rising horrors that she is experiencing.

What We Think: Anti-Matter was a huge surprise for me. It blew all my expectations away. I really liked this movie but not every movie is perfect and has its flaws. To start off with the good things, the plot is well thought out and original which gives it a fresh breath of air. The acting is pretty good from the cast, Yazia Figueroa was defiantly the stand out in the cast and gave an outstanding performance. The concept of the plot and the twists and turns it takes always kept me engaged and I never felt disconnected from the movie. The twist at the end was unexpected and I was surprised from it and it was a good explanation for what went down. Granted it might confuse some people but overall it’s a good twist. The cinematography in this movie was pretty good, to be honest. There was quite a lot of memorable shots. The pacing felt off for a 100-minute movie and kept at a mediocre pace and never really went fast. my only concern with the pacing is that it might push some audience members away.

Our Grade: A-, In the end, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie and would recommend it to any sci-fi mystery fan out there. It has an engaging plot, likable characters, and a twist ending that you should see for yourself. Check it out when it comes out September 8th, 2017.
